PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Macquarie Capital, a client of Aviary Analytics, was looking to create a proof of concept design. The proof of concept design is for a potential enterprise platform that Macquarie seeks to create to help hedge funds track their bridge finance lending activity. This proof of concept design is a collaboration between Polaris Design and Aviary Analytics.
Intended users
Deal originators, both admin level and average users at hedge funds.
Creative direction
The design challenge here is that how can we use design to clearly establish visual/UI hierarchy on an information-dense enterprise dashboard, so that users can easily access the information that they need the most. The overall design is intended to be sleek, modern and in the same time, professional.
Design process
Step 1 — Sync up on business and user requirements Before starting any design, we would like to have a solid understanding of your business and user needs. Design is not just meant to be ornamental. It is used to help you achieve your user goals, and hence your business goals.
Step 2 — Wireframing Aviary Analytics provided Polaris Design with detailed user flow chart and wireframes.
Step 3 — Design Research In order to create the best design suitable for this specific product, Eliana Feng @ Polaris Design also conducted extensive design research.
Step 4 — Design Explorations We always strive to find the best design solutions by exploring multiple approaches. Some of the explorations included below.
Step 5 — Design Direction The design direction was finalized based on multiple feedback section between Aviary Analytics, Macquarie Capital and Polaris Design. User feedback was not collected as this remained on the proof of concept phrase.
