Turn It Up

Visual Design/UX/UI Design/Concept Design/iOS App Design

Project Overview

Project Info: Turn It Up is a mobile application that I have designed for a Mobile UI Design class at Parsons the New School of Design. This project is still on the concept iteration phase.

Timeline: Feb 2016 – April 2016

Role and Responsibilities: This is a collaborative project between another Parsons alum and me. We are still working on collaborating on the UX/UI design. For the latest iteration, I have created the whole visual design based on the wireframes.

Concept

Turn It Up is a real time music sharing platform among friends. It seeks to be the central platform where friends can share among themselves music tracks from all major sources without having to login those platforms, thus connecting to each other through music.

User Flow

Users can import friends from Facebook and Contact, or simply add friends by scanning their Code.

On the "Music Collection" screen, users can see a list of tracks that their friends have shared with them, and they can also start sharing tracks with their friends. Users can share music with multiple friends from all major music platforms, such as Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud.  Subsequently, they can create a music room by sharing the track.

People in the same music room would be able to listen to the same track at the same time. Friends who are invited to the music room would receive a "music call" to listen to the track in real time, or later. Friends would be able to instantly comment on the sound track that have been shared among them.

There are still other details that need to be flushed out. To be continued.
